Hi,
We are a couple from the Philippines looking for a gestational surrogate mother. In our country, it is not legal to have surrogacy; this is the reason why we are now looking in Canada.
I am 41 years old, and my husband is 59 years old.
Our firstborn was conceived when I was 25 years old, and it had come as a surprise because I was diagnosed with PCOS. After that, we could hardly get pregnant. Five years ago, we decided to start to see a fertility doctor and did all the blood work tests from the reproductive immunologist to the reproductive test. Diagnose with having Cat 1 under reproductive immuno Category 1: HLA (human leukocyte antigen) compatibility — the couple’s tissues are too similar genetically. So, we did treatments before proceeding with our second harvest.
We tried IUI, which turned into a chemical pregnancy, so we decided to do IVF. We did a PGS test for the first harvest and got one viable out of 8 embryos test, but no success after transfer. We tried again 2nd IVF harvest and got six good embryos. With every attempt, we cried and asked more questions until our last embryo that was transferred put a smile on all of us. We thought, finally, this is it, we are having a baby, but on our 12th week of doctor’s appointment, our doctor told us that there was no more heartbeat, and the baby stopped growing at eleven weeks. This put me into depression, and it took us over a year to decide to try again, but this time through a surrogate.
Having PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and a reproductive immune problem that attacks the baby makes it hard to go on to full-term, so we seek a surrogate’s help.
We are hoping you will give us the honor of your help to be our surrogate mother. We understand the sacrifices you will make for us to have a baby, and we will be forever grateful.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask us anything.
Thank you
Joey and Kim
